What if nothing about you needed to be fixed?
And loneliness and self-esteem were mixed?
What if everything you did was right?
What if you just gave up the fight?
What if all you were was love?
And you truly felt it above?
What if you felt happy – all the time?
And believed in yourself to constantly climb?
What if peace was there, waiting for you to grab it and run?
What if you had more fun?
What if you felt all the confidence in the world?
And stopped lying in bed – broken and curled?
What if you were guided by what’s inside?
And you, yes you, were your own bride?
What if you felt inspired and light?
And your body was a perfect sight?
What if you were always on fire?
And felt truly worthy of everything you desire?
What if you had more adventures in life?
And went about anything with twice
As much fun and love and respect.
What if all you did was connect?
What if you were at peace with food?
And truly believed in the good?
What if you felt completely free?
And had more time to just be?
What if you were OK?
Much to your ego’s dismay?
What if all you had to do was open your eyes and see?
Without giving this moment a chance to flea?
What if you made it happen today?
Giving yourself the chance to convey
All the emotions you have inside?
What if you just gave up the fight?
You, yes, you can do just that.
Wearing your very own hat.
Uniquely yours – right here and right now.
Allowing yourself to WOW.
I believe in you!
Do you?
Simply beautiful – this poem makes me believe in myself even more. Thank you!

Love this, Anne-Sophie. Beautiful words that were so fun to read!
Happy to hear you liked it, Cathy.
Anne-Sophie,
A wonderful post! Ask questions and then KNOW that you are enough! And most of what you worry about never comes to pass!!
That’s so so so true, Betsy. We do worry way too much. Is there an “off” switch? 😉
Anne-Sophie, this is sooo beautiful. But, the best part for me is the simplest, “What if you were OK?” Simple, but powerful. What if you just let yourself be okay as you are.
Love it!
Sometimes it takes a decision to say to yourself that you are OK and you have to give yourself the permission. We are often so caught up in our drama (and sometimes creating it too quickly) that we forget we have the power to be OK. We have it all inside.
Sounds wonderfully perfect…. dream like…. I would love to ‘just be okay’ to be all those things you wrote… to have all that. I am trying, it is one step forward three steps back some days. But I keep moving, and as long as i dont stop…i think that i will be ok, in time. I have no idea when that time will be, but I have to hope that it will sometime. 🙂
One step at a time, one day at a time. You will get there.
Wow, how beautiful and powerful at the same time! I wish I were happy all the time, and at peace with my body… but what I am is lying in that bed broken. In very heavy clouds at this time.
Sorry to be a downer here.
Don’t worry about being a downer, we all feel like this from time to time. It’s OK to be like that, just don’t let it (aka your fear mind) totally absorb you and keep you in that dark spot for too long. Hugs and love, my friend.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this! 🙂
Very, very, very happy to hear that, Arianna.
Beautiful!
That means a lot coming from you. <3
